Welcome to the Dutch Stand of the International Bazaar
For 50 years we have been present at the International Bazaar and have been able to give financial support to social projects in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the world.
Our projects for 2011 are:
- Netherlands : creating an internet café, under supervision, with tailor made courses for people with mental disabilities, with the objective to help mentally disabled people to integrate into society, to participate in social life, find joy and inspiration for self-development and strengthening the personal power;
- Palestine/Occupied Palestinian Territories : Jenin Refugee Camp, Psychological and social support for children in the refugee camp of Jenin. The project will be implemented by the local partner, the women’s association “Not to Forget“.
What do we sell?
Every year we offer amazing handicraft items, perfect for presents. We also have a wide variety of gifts for Christmas and a large range of embroidered tablecloths, hand towels, etc.
Culinary
Our stand offers a wide range of food. From fresh herring from Scheveningen harbour to a great variety of Dutch cheeses that you will not find elsewhere in Luxembourg. Our bar offers Heineken beer and Corenwijn and our satay with peanut sauce is unique in Luxembourg.

Our committee consists of five enthusiastic members who are assisted by volunteers before and during the bazaar weekend. Without their support, team spirit and creativity, the organisation of our stand would not be possible. Hartelijk welkom bij de Nederlandse Stand van de Internationale Bazaar
Onze oranje luifels en grote vlag zijn een blikvanger in het midden van de grote hal van Luxexpo. Al sinds 50 jaar zijn wij aanwezig op de Internationale Bazaar en hebben zodoende financiële steun kunnen geven aan sociale projecten in Nederland en elders in de wereld.
Onze projecten in 2011
Voor 2011 steunen we 2 projecten, te weten:
- Stichting Daelzicht (Maastricht), een internetcafé waar gehandicapten onder begeleiding kunnen internetten;
- Not to Forget – Vluchtelingenkamp Jenin, Palestijnse gebieden: Psychosociale hulp voor kinderen in het vluchtelingenkamp.
Wat hebben wij te koop?
Wij bieden elk jaar weer verrassende handgemaakte artikelen aan, ideaal om weg te geven. We hebben tevens een grote variëteit op Kerst of op Nederland (met een knipoog) geïnspireerde cadeautjes en een brede keus aan geborduurde tafelkleden, gastendoekjes etc.
Culinair
Onze stand biedt een groot assortiment lekkernijen aan.
Onze Scheveningse visboer voert overheerlijke verse maatjes met uitjes en broodjes zalm, haring en paling direkt uit Nederland aan. Naast de vis staat de bar met schuimend, helder Heineken bier en Korenwijn. De satéverkoop (3 stokjes met pindasaus en brood) is uniek in Luxemburg en staat schouder aan schouder met onze kaasboer die al 25 jaar lang tientallen soorten Nederlandse kaas verkoopt die u in Luxemburg niet zult vinden.
Voor de komende feestdagen hebben we absoluut alles in huis voor een geslaagde Sinterklaasviering (strooigoed, pepernoten, chocoladeletters, schoensurprises) en een vrolijke Kerst (roomboter banketstaven, gevulde speculaas, roomboter speculaasjes, kerstbroden en verse stroopwafels). Vanzelfsprekend is er ook een zeer uitgebreid dropassortiment.

Ons comité bestaat uit 5 enthousiaste leden die voor en tijdens het bazaarweekend worden geholpen door tientallen vrijwilligers. Zonder hun steun, teamgeest en creativiteit zou de organisatie van onze stand niet mogelijk zijn.
